On 17 September 2025, SARS opens the Interim Employer Reconciliation for March to August (Period 202508). This year brings a major change for every Employee Tax Submission: you must now include employee income tax reference numbers.
Previously, SARS listed this field as mandatory but still accepted files without it. That flexibility ends now. If you submit without employee tax numbers, SARS will reject your submission.
